Deep Fried, Beer Battered Pickles! Proof that everything is better deep fried

What could be better than pickles? Deep fried pickles!

What you'll need:

  1. What ever brand pickles you like hamburger slice style
  2. 1/2 cup flower flour
  3. 2 to 4 ounces of beer
  4. Water
  5. 1/8 teaspoon salt
  6. Pinch of backing  soda (optional)
  7. Your favorite oil for deep frying

Heat oil to about 300° The oil should be hot enough to instantly sizzle when something is added.

While oil is heating combine flower with your beer and water to desired thickness. If you want a richer beer taste here's a hint...don't use the water. Add salt to taste or salt after. For an extra puffy fried coating, add baking soda.

Place 10 to 12 slices of pickle into batter and coat evenly.

Slowly put battered slices into hot oil. These should only take 30 seconds or so to fully cook. Once batter is browned remove from oil and place on paper towels.

Serve HOT! And enjoy.
