Wheeling Kalamazoo A fun location for a fun time

Yesterday in preperation for Spencers birthday party I wanted to go find a fun spot to wheel. Gives something fun to do that everyone can enjoy. The location, behind TGI Fridays on West Main. I'd been back there one other time but it was deeply rutted and I had to turn it around because it got to bad for my ride. This time I went a little farther and found a very fun trail. Full of mud but full of deep ruts too.

It's sad but I neglected to bring my camera along so I dont have any pics of the fun time. But I do have a few pics of the aftermath. I really wish I would have gotten a pic, but there was a puddle, well more of a host in the ground that was funn of water. It seemed like I could make it so I went. As soon as I hit the water I figured it to be a bad idea. My from bumper submersed in water and my foot went to the floor as I inched out of the 2 foot deep mud hole. Oops. Along with the 20 foot circle of water and muck surrounding the hole there was also steam pouring from under my hood, just water thank god.

I continued on down the trail and it quickly became to much for me to continue. So I had to turn around....and go thru the mud puddle again. Damn..... When I got back i found an opening between a rock and a hard place, litterly. There was a pile of rocks on the drivers side, and a 7 or 8 inch thick tree on the other. Not to mention the six other 1 inch trees in front of me. I made it thru them, in 2 wheel drive to my surprise, thinking I was unscathed.

When I got home and the this morning I found another story. Upon locking my doors I heard this: SND_7671.WAV . I locked the doors three times so you'll hear 3 beeps.

And looking at the mud at night. And the now torn off air damn that was cracked and jammed into the bumper.

Next time I go back I'll be sure to get pics of the trail. Provided it's not raining.
