Shock Top - Belgian White Deliciously citrus top, bland bottom

First off this is an overly mass produced beer from the makers of Bud - Anheuser-Busch. Yes that's right...I drank a macro brew. This beer pours a nice hazy orange yellow color with a pale white head.

It has a definable orange citrus flavor not unlink Bell's Oberon. However unlike the Oberon it is lacking the distinct Bell's tang. This too is unfiltered and as such it beckons to by poured into a glass; as the case with all unfiltered brews.

Half way to the bottom it's loses it's luster and the flavor has faded to a dull citrus blend. Not by any means a bad taste, but less flavor than one would hope.

I would recomend this for anyone who enjoys a sweet beer on a warm summer night. THis also clocks in at a mere 5.20 on the ABV%, not one that is going to get you tanked right out of the gate but still good with dinner.
