Domestic dispute leads to standoff?
A domestic disturbance leading to mass involvement of the police here is East Wood (east side of Kzoo in Kzoo Twp)? Who would have ever thought that would happen ... well me for one. here is what the news has to say about it:
KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A male suspect was taken into custody
around 10 Wednesday morning after a standoff in Kalamazoo Township.
No one was hurt. Neighbors have been allowed back inside their homes. Police have obtained a
search warrant and are now searching the home.
It took six hours of negotiating with the suspect. He is accused of
assaulting his wife then resisting arrest by refusing to come out of his Craft
Avenue home.
"He had stated to us that he did have a weapon, that he was threatening that
if anybody came in he would use force against those people," said Lt. Brian
Ergang of the Kalamazoo Township Police.
Not knowing whether he had a hostage, police waited.
Neighbors were woken in the middle of the night and evacuated from their
homes. Some only had slippers on their feet.
They watched patiently.
"We got police officers all in our backyards shining lights, they're all in
the bushes," said neighbor Katrina Robinson.
George Tazelaar has known the suspect for eight years. They even bought their
homes together. "He's married, his wife was on the corner over here earlier," said Tazelaar.
"He used to be a really, really good guy."
Police used a flash bang grenade to flush the suspect out of the home.
The suspect's name is not being released. We do know he was taken to the hospital just as a
precaution. He will then be taken to jail. Police say he'll likely face domestic abuse charges,
resisting arrest and obstruction.

I had no idea what was going on untill about 6:30 when I went outside to hear this SND_5991.WAV. My first thought was that is was coming form the dead end of the streen and I said to myself, 'Yup that figures' but when I went out to see what was going on I saw that the end of my road was totally blocked by cop cars and a swat unit.
As time passed there were many many cops walking by and I took pictures of some, though due to a setting being changed on my camera they came out kinda blury. There were cops with tripods, cops in full camo (like rambo style) and all carring very large guns.
In reading the above story form the news I think my favorite quote is from some trashy (most likely) person saying "We got police officers all in our backyards shining lights, they're all in
the bushes". While this might be true, maybe next time try not to sound completly retarted when talking to the news crew.
Acording to a neighbor friend we ended up being on the news ourselves. It was 7:30 amd very much time to leave so we both got in our cars and drove up to the cops after moving 2 cars we had to snake thru the mob of cops to get out. We even had a cop hold up traffic so we could get out, score.
Oh what exciting times here is meth land.
