Ch ch ch changes!! A little over view

Last night I finally finished my latest update to the site. It's been a grueling month and a half of updates changes and bug fixes but it's "done". Of course I've already thought of another 5 or 6 things to add or change as well as an apparent bug with the Galleries by Member that I just cannot work out. [EDIT] FIXED! [EDIT] Here is an over view of some of the new features.

But first and foremost I've updated all the rounded corners to use anti-aliasing. This lovely gem was found on Matt Berseth's site and it's complied as an AJAX extender. It's using The Nifty Corners script to do it. The only problen is I an still stuck with the old AJAX rounded corner for the bottom. But on the bright side you can really see the difference in the feel of the corner. The blue corner is the new one, and the white is the "out of the box" AJAX corner. I with I had a better sample but this is the best I can do at work!

Another UI update is the alignment of the editing pages. It looks MUCH better with everything ligned up. I also removed the Popular Images from the collection editor to allow for a wider view. The article editor still needs some work, ok a lot of work.

Speaking of the Popular Images view, I now wraped it in a box and added the ability to colapse it. This is stored in a cookie so it remembers at all times. It even updaates your profile so even on a different computer it will be collapsed if thats how you have it set up. This allows a little faster page load, even if ti's only about a second and a half of download time.

I've also fixed the main page so it shows recent posts in a better format. It had a habbit of playing with the line break if there was a link at the end. Also with the articles I've added the ability to view the history of an article for a full "versioned" feel.

Last but the list of new features is the ability to mark galeries and articles as private! Doing this will allow only members to view them. A great feature if you have pictures of youngsters that you don't want random people seeing. Me I'm not to worried about it. There is also an override so the site admin (me) can force all galleries and articles to be private. When this is activated it will show a message on the editor telling you why.

You can see all the other changes in the About page.
Enjoy!
