It never ends! Ugh...

A time line of my wonderful joy filled weekend full of fun half baked ideas from Microsoft in the form of updates. Score one for MS.

10/27 9:42: Wait, something is still broken. It's only the Galleries by member anyways so no biggie. It's getting a revamp in the next update anyways for no biggie. Or maybe I'll try to figure it out before then, maybe.

10/27 7:09pm: Fix applied, site working, WOO HOO!!
THe fix: http://vinodunny.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!F162DB18909CE884!393.entry

10/27 4:10pm: After doing a little research at home (read work) on my issue I think I've identified the problem.

10/26 10:09pm: The site is looking better, I've got pictures. Well some pictures. Some links work more links are still broken. Time to call it a night.

10/26 6:53pm: Site is back up, well sorta. The site "works" but nothing actually works. No pics, not links, jsut words.

10/26 3:00pm: Server reinstalled and running great...except for that...web site (this one). Hmm.

10/26 1:00pm: Cell phone rings, one server failed at work but is being replaced. Joy again over comes me with the thought of this. Now what else can happen I mean really.

10/26 11:15am: Server is toast, well to be fair just the OS. Time to reinstall.

10/26 11:00am: Check out the (beep) server, and fi(been)nd it seems to be bee(beep)ping at me for no reason....not a good sign.

10/26 9:00am: Enough screwing around on the internet time to start updates and go take a shower.

10/25: To busy all day to care about patching the giant security hole I'll do it tomorrow (famous last words).

10/24 6:00pm: Servers patched with no problems at work. Sweet time to go home.

10/24 1:00pm: I find out there is an out-of-band update for nearly every OS. Joy over comes me with the thought of this (<-- sarcasm)

The Daily WTF:
Because legacy application maintenance is one of the torments found in the outer circles of hell

Infoworld:
23. There is no such thing as a dumb question, so ask it ... once. Then write down the answer so that you don't have to ask it again. If you ask the same person the same question more than twice, you're an idiot (in their eyes).
